This is a 1940s record ss 37mm split-seconds chronograph with the rare Venus Cal.179. The split-seconds chronograph, with its split wheel and stopper, is one of the most complex and well-designed chronographs ever made. Because of their complexity, only a very small number of these chronographs were made, and the brands that did produce and sell them were limited to a very small number, such as Record and Breitling. The 37mm oversized case with the characteristic lugs often seen in the record also has a wonderful presence.
