This is a rare 38mm clamshell waterproof chronograph with a black dial, manufactured in the 1940s by Taban with the famous Valjoux 22. This oversized chronograph is equipped with the famous Valjoux 22 in a four-screw waterproof case called clamshell (meaning clam). The dial is a black mirror dial with a brown tachymeter and gold telemeter printed on it, which is a wonderful dial design unique to the 40's. It is a gem that has attracted great taste with age.
