1940s Heuer Val-69 Stainless Steel 33mm Water-resistant Baby Chronograph Black Gilt Roman Dial
|Year of Manufacture||1940's|
This is a beautiful example of a rare black gilt Roman dial, SS 33mm water proof baby chronograph with Hoyer's famous Val-69 manufactured in 1940s. It is equipped with the world's smallest chronograph movement at that time, only 23mm in diameter. The black gilt dial with rouletted Roman indexes and sword hands does not have the complexity of a multi-scale watch, but it is simple yet has a wonderful design with a sense of presence, and the 33mm screw back waterproof case is relatively large and rare for a baby chrono. It is a gem with a wonderful taste coupled with the case. The rare black Roman dial retains its beautiful luster throughout, and the massive stay-bright case retains its original shape without showing any signs of loss due to polishing.
