Minerva, "Cronografo A Ritorno", very rare bomb drop?pocket watch, N.O.S. condition, circa 1940s. A rare pocket watch manufactured for Italian Air Force bomber pilots during World War II. The dial has a flight altitude scale, which was probably built to measure the distance to the point of impact based on the time of release of a time bomb from the air. It has a special mechanism called the return chronograph, which can be started by pressing the button coaxial with the crown, and then again to activate the chronograph seconds hand in a counterclockwise direction. It was manufactured for military purposes at the time, but this piece is a miraculous piece that has reached the present day without being used. In addition, the split-seconds function, which is not equipped in the normal bomb drop model, further enhances the rarity of this piece.
