Introduced in 1966, an original Longines Chronograph and Stopwatch with the vernier-style hand was used during the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games. A manual wind using Cal. 262, two-register chronograph with 61mm diameter case; Stainless steel, double snap-back case; chronograph stopwatch mainly used for professional use. Silvered dial with black inner bezel having black transferred Arabic numerals and minute divisions on the silver dial, and a black inner bezel with second division white markings on the external part of the watch. A bright orange chronograph hand with a 9-division high-contrast yellow vernier scale to measure 1/10th of a second. A tricky way of measuring fractions of a second but it allows to precisely read 1/10th second timing intervals. 30-minute totalizer with alternate black and white border and markings at 12; and a smaller 60-second totalizer dial at 6; which makes this chronograph convenient for sport timing purposes.
