This is a rare 1940's Rolex Calatrava Design Chronograph with a stainless steel flat bezel, equipped with a Valjoux 22. The dial also has a very elaborate and atmospheric design, with Arabic numerals in circles surrounded by a matte coating of indexes, printed in a three-color scale of red, black, and blue, which shows a variety of expressions depending on the angle of light entering. This is a gem of a watch with a case design and mechanical dial design that is unique to this time period. The bracelet comes with the original Gay Flare bracelet from this period, which enhances the atmosphere even more.
