An early 1940s International Watch Company timepiece, featuring the renowned Cal. 83 movement, in an exceptionally rare 35mm screw-back Calatrava-style case with a pink two-tone dial, in excellent condition.
In this era, apart from the Mark 10, most waterproof cases were around 30mm in size, making this 35mm screw-back Calatrava case a rarity. It houses IWC’s iconic Cal. 83 movement. The dial is also rare, showcasing a beautiful pink two-tone finish with applied indexes and leaf hands. The substantial waterproof case pairs harmoniously with the refined, understated elegance of the pink dial.
The preservation is outstanding. While there are minor scratches, the Staybrite steel case retains its sharp edges and original hairline finish, and the two-tone dial maintains its beautiful coloration. This is a remarkable one-owner example with a natural, authentic character—a truly exceptional piece.
