1940s Omega 33.3Chro Stainless Steel 37mm Calatrava Chrono Gray Multi-Color&scale

This is a rare mid 1940's Omega ss 37mm Calatrava Chronograph with the famous Cal.33.3CHRO with grey multi-colored scale dial. The beautiful shiny grey gilt dial has a wonderful multi-scale design unique to this era, with tachymeter (silver), pulse meter (pink), telemeter (silver) and minute track (gold). The Calatrava case is thick and voluminous even though it is not water resistant, and the bezel is narrow to take advantage of the intricate and complex multi-scale dials. In recent years, Omega chronographs have been recognized for their coloring, intricate dial designs and oversized cases, which are not seen in famous brands of the same era such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Longines and Universal.
