This is a description of a vintage Universal Watch COMPUR 1st Series Chronograph, manufactured in 1934. It is equipped with the Caliber 15 movement and features a 38mm oversized case with a two-tone sector dial. The Caliber 15 movement was only produced for one year in 1934.The watch has a unique mechanism created by Universal during a time when each manufacturer was experimenting with their own approach. The 2-button chronograph has a start, stop, and reset function at the 2 o'clock button, while the 4 o'clock button stops the chronograph during operation. The dial is considered to be the pinnacle of vintage watches and features a so-called Tokyo dial without numerals, a multi-scale design with a telemeter and snail tachymeter, and blue steel hands unique to silver dials. The heavy 38mm oversized case adds to the watch's striking presence, making it a remarkable piece.
