Rolex Oyster, Bubble Back, Ref. 3131, rare matte white dial, 18 karat yellow gold, circa mid-1940s.
The matte white dial with yellow mirror print jumping numerals and wedge indexes is one of the few bubblebacks from the 40s when there were mostly silver dials. The 18 karat yellow gold case is made up of a bezel, middle case, back cover and movement holder, just like the early bubble backs.
