Rolex, "Prince Imperial", CAl. 800 powered, circa 1930s.
A unique oval-shaped movement that was first introduced in the 1930s with the "PROTECTING ESCAPEMENT" specification. The black dial with white printed Arabic numerals and sword hands on a black mirror base is reminiscent of the design of the Prince of the same era, and the black mirror dial retains its beautiful luster. The stainless steel case retains its original shape, and the original glass and box remain, making it a true gem of a timepiece that is both rare and well preserved. It is a precious co-branded model with Mappin Rome.
