Rolex Oyster, chronograph, Ref. 6234, stainless steel, silver dial, small eye designed dial, circa late 1950s.
It is a rare Oyster Chronaograph before Ref.6238, which is a model called Pre-Daytona. The plain finished silver dial, which is different from the later Soleil type silver dial, has tachymeter and telemeter markings on the outer circumference, wedge indexes and alpha hands, which is a unique design of this era. It is a rare gem that has a unique dial look with the thee smaller-than-usual layout of the in-dials. The watch comes with a rare genuine riveted bracelet from the same era (fits wrist size up to 18.5 cm). The back cover is engraved.
