Late 1930's manufacture Universal Compax with famous Cal. 285, very rare 18k yellow gold 3-register chronograph with black gilt dial.
The three-register chronograph, which was very rare in the 1930s when two-register chronographs were more common, the black gilt dial with its intricate and complex multi-scale design, and the 18k yellow gold Calatrava case, which is rare among the steel-cased Universal watches, are all rare. This is a super rare piece that is rarely seen among the Universal watches. It has some signs of age and use, but considering the rarity of the piece, it is a very inexpensive price.
