1930s Ulysse Nardin Val-23 Hooded Chronograph Rare Black Gilt Dial (Mint Condition)

Ulysse Nardin, hooded design case, chronograph, Valjoux 23 powered,  very rare original black dial, circa 1930s.


This is a very rare vintage Ulysse Nardin chronograph with a black gilt dial, luminescent Arabic indexes and cobra hands, a military-like design, and a small 33mm size, but the massive hooded case gives it a presence beyond its size. The black dial that retains the original radium luminescence retains a beautiful luster on all sides, and the massive staybrite case retains enough of its original plump case form, etc. The good state of preservation further enhances the rarity of this piece.
