This is a highly rare Longines "Toretauke" model from 1942, with a popular 35mm waterproof design and a very rare black dial with a center seconds hand. It is a rare piece produced only during a brief period when transitioning from Toretauke to Seitauke, using a sloping step bezel and a 3-point screw-back waterproof case. With features like the center seconds hand and the rare black gilt dial, which were overwhelmingly scarce in Toretauke models, this watch is truly a collector's item. It is in excellent condition, with a beautifully glossy black gilt dial and a well-preserved Toretauke case that exudes a sense of solidity. It is equipped with the Cal.12.68N movement, an improved version of the renowned Cal.12.68z from Longines, with a center seconds hand. An archive is included with this exceptional piece.
