This is a rare original black gilt dial chronograph with Universal Cal. 385 step design, manufactured in the late 1930s, bearing the name "BERTHOUD" (Universal's partner company). The rare original black gilt dial with popular Breguet indexes is an all gilt dial with the "BERTHOUD" logo as well as the indexes and minute track grounded out, which is rare among the steel-back cases often seen in BERTHOUD. It is a precious gem with high quality and design appeal that is not inferior to the Universal Geneva. It is equipped with Cal. 385 based on Universal's famous Cal. 285.
