Longines Ref. 5824 "Stop Second Minute Recorder" 47mm oversize model with the famous Longines Cal. 12.68z manufactured in 1951, equipped with the rare Caliber 12.68z, which adds a 60-minute counter to the regular stop seconds with 60-second counter. By setting the hour and minute hands to exactly zero and activating the chronograph, time can be measured for up to 12 hours. It is also equipped with a simple flyback function, and is a popular model that shows the originality of Longines at a time when manufacturers were creating chronographs by trial and error. Ref.5824 with a rotating bezel was supplied to the Air Self-Defense Force and the Israeli army, and its 47mm oversized case and black luminous dial enhance the military taste, and the precious early dial without wing marks that changed to a light brown color is wonderful! It is a precious gem that fascinates with its vintage taste. The accompanying archive shows that it was shipped to Israel in 1951.
