This is a description of a rare and valuable vintage watch manufactured in the 1940s by the Swiss jeweler, E.Gubelin. The watch features a Val-71 movement and a 38mm clamshell case with waterproofing. It is a rare piece due to its 3-register chronograph, which is uncommon in clamshell cases. The dial is in excellent condition and has a gray and black two-tone color scheme with gold telemeter and snail tachymeter, pink sub-dials, and silver indexes and minute track. The multi-color scale design is unique to 3-register chronographs and gives the watch a mechanical and condensed feel. The watch is a fantastic example of E.Gubelin's expertise in the field of watchmaking, as it features their Cal.71 movement, an improved 3-register version of the renowned Cal.22 movement by Valjoux.
