This is a highly rare 3-register chronograph from the 1940s, featuring the Eberhard Cal. 16 ligne movement, housed in a 39mm 18k yellow gold case with a very rare 3-step bezel and luminous dial.
Among step bezels, the 3-step design is especially uncommon. Additionally, the 3-register chronograph layout is rare for its time, and the luminous dial is something almost never seen on Eberhard watches—making this a truly collectible piece with a combination of rare features.
The equipped Cal. 16 ligne movement is operated uniquely: the chronograph functions (start, stop, reset) are controlled via the pusher at the 2 o’clock position, while the button at 4 o’clock, though it appears to be a regular pusher, is actually a sliding lever. Sliding it upward during chronograph operation activates the hacking mechanism—an unusual and distinctive system.
Adding to its appeal is the oversized 39mm case, which was significantly larger than most contemporaries, and the solid 18k gold case, which gives it a substantial and luxurious presence.
