This is a rare clip-on waterproof rectangular model from the 1940s, equipped with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Cal.487/1 movement and a unique silver dial. It is a valuable early model rectangular watch that features a clip-on angular waterproof case with excellent airtightness, which was also adopted by Omega watches of the same era. The silver Art Deco design dial has large numbers at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock indices and smaller ones at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock indices. The center part of the dial is slightly recessed, and the hour hand is adjusted to fit within the frame. This watch has a unique design that takes into consideration the thickness of the watch during a time when center second hands were less common. The case is also uniquely designed and has a distinct aesthetic characteristic of the era. It is a rare gem that features the Cal.487/1 movement, which was uncommon for clip-on waterproof watches.
