Manufactured in the 1930s, this Rolex “Prince Classic” Ref. 1862 in stainless steel is a beautifully preserved example featuring an elegant Art Deco silver two-tone dial.
The stunning Art Deco dial showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of the period. Apart from the Rolex logo and the “SWISS MADE” designation, all dial markings are executed using an inlaid enamel technique. The sophisticated three-tone design, highlighted by a mirror-finished track, further reflects the remarkable attention to detail and decorative artistry characteristic of the era.
The overall state of preservation is outstanding. The dial retains its distinct three-tone coloration and crisply defined inlaid indexes, while the simple yet elegant rectangular case—known as the “Classic” style—remains in excellent original condition, faithfully preserving its original form and proportions.
The watch is accompanied by a highly desirable Gay Frères Jubilee bracelet, suitable for wrist sizes up to 19 cm (approximately 7.5 inches), adding further appeal and collectability to this exceptional timepiece.
