A 1960s Jaeger-LeCoultre masterpiece “Memovox” automatic date waterproof model, featuring a rare black gilt dial.
One of the brand’s most iconic models, the Memovox uses the crown at 2 o’clock to wind the alarm mainspring, switch the alarm ON/OFF, and set the alarm time. It is also equipped with a calendar mechanism featuring a quickset function, showcasing the originality and technical excellence unique to the prestigious manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, known for producing many of its own movements in-house.
The watch employs a distinctive waterproof case construction, where a snap-back case is secured with a metal O-ring screwed into place—an unusual and innovative design.
In addition to the rare black dial, this collector’s piece comes with its original period bracelet (FF=JLM, 4/65, fits wrist sizes up to 18.5 cm).
