Manufactured in the early 1940s, this Longines "Toretake" is a popular 35mm waterproof model with a highly rare two-tone roulette dial and a center seconds design. It is equipped with the Caliber 12.68N, a center seconds specification that is very rare for Toretake. The dial features a unique roulette design in two-tone colors, which is uncommon for Longines, where simpler designs are more commonly seen. The distinctive Arabic roulette design of the center seconds adds a wonderful touch and represents the style of the era. This timepiece showcases a step design and a three-point screw-back waterproof case, which is highly regarded for its craftsmanship, typical of Longines as a case manufacturer. The watch's 35mm case size also offers an exquisite sense of proportion, adding to its charm.
