1950 Rolex Ref.8171 “Padellon” Triple Calendar Moonphase in Stainless Steel (Unpoloshed case)

This is a highly rare, unpolished, and unused Rolex Ref.8171 'Padellone' Triple Calendar Moonphase stainless steel model, manufactured in 1950. It has had only one owner. Featuring a case size exceeding 38mm, it is equipped with an automatic movement that includes triple calendar and moonphase functions.
Despite being non-waterproof, the substantial construction of the oversized case exudes a commanding presence, making it a standout complication watch among vintage Rolex timepieces. Previous auction records reveal that steel-cased versions can vary significantly in value, ranging from 200,000 to 900,000 CHF, while gold-cased models start at 100,000 CHF and can reach several hundred thousand CHF, depending on their preservation condition.　As evident from the numbers, steel-cased models, in particular, are highly popular and sought after in the market.
