Manufactured in 1944 — Omega Chronograph with legendary Cal. 33.3CHRO, stainless steel 38mm waterproof case, and black multi-scale dial.
This exceptional piece features an early waterproof case with an engraved caseback, a rare variation even among waterproof cases. It houses the large chronograph movement Cal. 33.3CHRO, which exceeds 33mm in diameter.
The dial is a highly intricate “complication” layout: crafted using the gilt technique, it includes a gold tachymeter, gold telemeter, gold snail tachymeter, and a green pulsometer scale placed over a white enamel circle.
The oversized 38mm case, multi-colored and multi-scale dial — all elements that embody the distinct appeal of Omega from this era — make this a truly outstanding timepiece.
It comes with a rare original buckle from the period and an extract from the archives. Notably, the dial features a pink Omega logo, a rare variation compared to the more common gold logos found on black dials.
