Manufactured in the 1940s, this is a rare and excellent condition Jaeger-LeCoultre pocket watch with a black sector dial. It features the day-date function, Caliber 59, which was also used in wristwatches. The dial has a black matte base with red day-date markings, a white letter rail track, and a combination of luminescent Arabic numerals and diamond-shaped hands, creating a splendid sector dial. This remarkable piece showcases the creativity unique to Jaeger-LeCoultre, a company that produced a variety of movements in-house, and the wonderful design aesthetics of that era. The preservation condition is also excellent, with the precious original black sector dial retaining intricate printing and the luminescence from that period
