Manufactured in the late 1930s, this Longines features the Cal. 15.26 movement and a Staybrite case, with a rare 37mm Big Calatrava case and an Art Deco silver dial.

It is powered by the large Cal. 15.26 movement, which was also used in contemporary Czech military models. The impressive 37mm Big Calatrava case, with its beautifully flat bezel, has an imposing presence that is characteristic of watches equipped with such a large movement. The silver dial, complemented by striking blued-steel hands, features a railroad track around the outer perimeter and a central circle, creating a well-balanced design with virtually no empty space.

Although the Calatrava design may initially appear delicate and refined, this exceptional piece also conveys the substantial presence and rugged character that are distinctive of Longines watches.

The accompanying Longines Archive Extract states that the watch was shipped to Poland in 1939.
