Manufactured in the early 1940s, this is a rare early type Seita-ke SS 35mm waterproof model from Longines, featuring a scarce salmon Roman dial. This model was produced immediately after the transition from Toreta-ke to Seita-ke. Its inclined step design resembles the later models of Toreta-ke, while the caseback has been changed from a 3-point to a 6-point style. Seita-ke models transitioned to thinner round shapes in later years, making these early models with their substantial construction increasingly difficult to find. The dial is a splendid combination of rare salmon color with Roman and square indices, exhibiting a unique taste due to aging. Equipped with the renowned Cal.12.68N movement, this watch represents the diverse variations of Longines, including small seconds, center seconds, and stop seconds. There may be some signs of aging, but as an initial Seitake 35mm model, it's a valuable item with a sense of worth.
