The Longines "Tre-tacche" model, manufactured in the early 1940s, is a highly sought-after 35mm waterproof model featuring a very rare black gilt dial with bar index design. The rare black dial, paired with bar indices and leaf hands, presents a simple yet tasteful design. The all-gilt dial, created using the gilt technique, and the absence of a minute track, which was rare for this period, showcase the era's appearance and an excellent sense of style. The step design and three-point screw-back waterproof case, which inspired the "Tre-tacche" name, are characteristic of Longines' highly regarded case construction, exuding a sense of solidity. The perfectly balanced size of the 35mm case adds to its appeal. It is equipped with the hand-wound movement Cal.12.68z, one of Longines' signature movements. An archive is included.
