This is a 1940's Omega "Marine Standard" Second Generation.
The very rare original black two-tone dial is in excellent condition. The Marine was a revolutionary model at the time as it was square and water proof, and it is a series that has left its mark on the history of Omega. The second model was a refreshing change from the first model's design, with a strong sense of the massive Art Deco form, making it even more practical. This design can also be seen in Jaeger-LeCoultre at the same time, and is a gem that is recognized for both function and design.
