A Universal 'Aero-Compax' SS 33mm chronograph with fancy lugs, manufactured in the mid-1940s. Among the Aero-Compax models, which come in a variety of waterproof and non-waterproof cases, sizes, and designs, this is the smallest at 33mm, featuring the fancy lugs design, Ref. 22286. The Aero-Compax is a unique chronograph equipped with a 'memomaster' sub-dial at the 12 o’clock position, which is used to record the time, operated by a dedicated crown at the 9 o’clock position. The distinctive four-dial design, unlike any other, showcases Universal’s originality as a manufacturer that produced numerous chronograph movements. This piece exudes a remarkable sense of compactness, particularly due to its 33mm size. The case condition is outstanding, and the case, which retains its distinct shape, offers a presence that exceeds its size.
