This is a beautiful chronograph from the 1940s by Universal, featuring the renowned Cal.287 "Uni-Compax" movement. It comes in a stainless steel, oversized 37mm case (with a 20mm lug width) and a three-color scale dial.

This is a rare piece notable for its large 37mm case—unusual for non-waterproof models of this era. The dial features a popular three-color design, with a tachymeter and telemeter scale arranged side by side. Unlike many Universal models from this time that use luminous or printed indices, this watch is distinguished by its applied indices, which lend it an air of refined luxury.

It is equipped with the larger in-house Cal.287 chronograph movement, which is a step up in size from the standard Cal.285.
