1980s IWC "Ingenieur SL" very rare Ref.5215 Pocket watch with Black dial

Manufactured in the mid-1980s, International’s masterpiece “Ingenieur SL” – Extremely rare Ref. 5215 pocket watch with a beautiful black dial.
This is a highly scarce pocket watch version of the Ingenieur, produced in only very small numbers between 1982 and 1996.
Featuring an inner case made of soft iron and a special dial construction, it offers anti-magnetic resistance up to 40,000 A/m, and thanks to its screw-back case, it has a water resistance of 3 ATM.
It is said that only about 200 units were ever made, making it a rare piece hardly seen either in Japan or overseas.
The beautifully finished Caliber 952 movement is adjusted to five positions and equipped with a shock protection system, offering practicality and design that rival wristwatches, despite being a pocket watch.
Its preservation condition is excellent, and the black dial with the signature grid pattern—shared with wristwatch versions of the Ingenieur from the same era—is in exceptionally clean condition, with no noticeable scratches or blemishes.
Even among the already rare Ref. 5215 models, the black dial version is especially uncommon.
