This is an extremely rare, unpolished piece of a waterproof model Omega from the late 1940s, featuring the early bumper automatic Caliber 342 and a 14K yellow gold case.
The screw-back waterproof case, characteristic of the era with its thick and solid lugs, is in excellent unpolished condition. The solid gold case shows a beautiful vintage character through its natural aging and weighty presence.
The high-quality silver dial combines applied indices with dauphine hands, and features a unique design that uses luminous paint only on the indices other than 3, 9, and 12.
It is equipped with the rare early bumper automatic Cal.342, which predates the development of full-rotation automatic movements.
