A waterproof model from the 1950s by Jaeger-LeCoultre, equipped with the bumper automatic Cal. P812 movement.
It houses the rare half-rotor “bumper” automatic Cal. P812, produced before the advent of fully rotating automatic movements. The movement is highly impressive, featuring excellent finishing and thick, robust internal components. It was also used as a base movement by prestigious makers such as Vacheron Constantin.
The dial features a compact and well-balanced two-tone design, combining trapezoid-shaped applied indexes with luminous material and sword hands reminiscent of those seen on vintage LeCoultre watches. The dial has developed a beautiful natural patina over time, giving the watch a wonderful vintage character.
The outer track of the dial is finished with a circular brushing, providing a richer sheen compared to the more common vertical-and-horizontal two-tone finish.
