Manufactured in the 1940s, this Helbros “Geneva Sport” stainless steel baby chronograph powered by the renowned Cal.237 is an exceptionally rare square-designed model featuring a black gilt two-tone snail dial.

Among rare baby chronographs, this example is particularly unusual for its square design. The distinctive volume unique to the square case, its case form reminiscent of shell hooded lugs, and the intricate, highly complex black two-tone snail dial together create a remarkable timepiece that beautifully captures the spirit of the era.

The dial features a black base with gray circular accents and a gilt-finished snail tachymeter scale, resulting in a construction of superior design and quality.

It houses the celebrated Cal.237 movement produced by Geneva Sport, regarded as one of the “big three” baby chronograph calibers. A Swiss-made bamboo bracelet is included.

Watches equipped with Geneva Sport movements are often characterized by elegant, dress watch-like styling, and examples with such a substantial square case are considered especially rare and highly collectible.
