Manufactured in the 1930s – Tissot Chronograph with Renowned Lemania Cal. 15TL, Staybrite 37mm Calatrava Design, Extremely Rare Black Sector Dial
This is an extremely rare Tissot chronograph from the 1930s, featuring the renowned early-type monopusher chronograph movement Cal. 15TL by Lemania—a movement also adopted by Omega. Housed in a beautifully proportioned 37mm Staybrite steel Calatrava-style case with a flat bezel, it exemplifies the elegant design of the era.
The dial predates gilt printing and features all-silver printed details, showcasing a black sector layout with a prominent snail-style tachymeter—an exceptional piece that reflects the design language of its time.
Its state of preservation is outstanding. Among the many variations of vintage chronographs, the sector dial is considered one of the most desirable, and this example retains its intricate and complex printwork with remarkable clarity.
