Manufactured in the 1930s, this Rolex Oyster Bubble Back in stainless steel features a rare 3-piece case and a two-tone sector dial. This is an early example of the NA-size Bubble Back, equipped with the small seconds Caliber 620, housed in a precious three-piece stainless steel case construction.
The sector dial showcases a superb design highlighted by blued steel hands, offering a distinctly vintage aesthetic that sets it apart from later models—allowing the wearer to fully appreciate the charm of an early Bubble Back.
This particular piece was originally sold by the prestigious British jeweler “Mappin”, which had a location in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, making it a rare example marked “Mappin Rio.” The four-line text on the dial is also beautifully balanced, adding to its overall appeal.
