Manufactured in the 1930s, this Rolex Oyster Viceroy 1st Generation features a rare black dial with an applied bar index design.
It is housed in a valuable early Viceroy case, employing the elaborate four-piece construction—bezel, middle case, caseback, and movement holder—seen in 1st-model Bubble Backs, Flat Backs, and solid gold models, along with a large crown.

The dial is in the popular “Beyer design” bar index style, also found on Bubble Backs and Flat Backs of the same era. Produced before the introduction of gilt dials, the white-lettered dial captures the aesthetic of its time. Among bar index dials, the use of applied bar indexes is particularly rare, further enhancing the scarcity of this exceptional piece.

Comes fitted with a Bonklip bamboo-style bracelet.
