Manufactured in the 1930s, Rolex Ref.3055 Baby Chronograph in stainless steel, equipped with the renowned Valjoux 69 movement, featuring an exceptionally rare sector dial.
At the time, the Valjoux 69 was considered the world’s smallest chronograph movement, with a diameter of only 23mm. Even among Rolex’s numerous chronograph productions, this model stands out as particularly rare, and within that, the sector dial represents the pinnacle of both rarity and design—truly an exceptional piece.
The dial is executed in a beautiful three-tone color scheme, incorporating a tachymeter scale (in black) and a telemeter scale (in blue), enhancing the condensed aesthetic unique to the Baby Chronograph format. While Ref.3055 is most often seen in solid gold cases, the presence of a stainless-steel case makes this example even more uncommon.
It is accompanied by a precious original Gay Frères bamboo bracelet from the period.
