Manufactured in the 1940s, this is a Heuer Baby Chronograph equipped with the renowned Valjoux 69 movement, in stainless steel, a highly rare 33mm waterproof model with the sought-after black gilt multi-scale dial, in excellent condition.
It houses the ultra-compact chronograph movement with a diameter of just 23mm, which was said to be the world’s smallest at the time. Among Baby Chronographs, this example is relatively large and rare at 33mm, featuring a screw-back waterproof case. The black gilt dial, with its finely detailed multi-scale design including tachymeter and telemeter, perfectly captures the spirit of the era.
The moderately sized case that is not too small, combined with the practicality of a waterproof case, makes it particularly attractive. The black gilt dial retains its beautiful luster, and while there are some minor scratches, the waterproof case shows no signs of thinning from polishing, preserving a solid and robust presence. Overall, the watch is in outstanding condition and comes highly recommended.
