This is a Minerva chronograph from the 1930s, an extremely rare oversized 46mm stainless steel Staybrite model, equipped with the Cal.19-9CH.
The large 42mm-diameter chronograph movement Cal.19-9CH it houses is exceptionally rare and, like Minerva’s signature Cal.20CH, is renowned for its superb finishing and graceful curves, offering the distinctive presence only a large movement can provide.
The black gloss gilt dial, featuring both a telemeter and a snail tachymeter scale, has a striking presence befitting the 46mm size. The Staybrite case, with soldered lugs, olive pushers, and a fluted crown, exudes a magnificent vintage character.
Its preservation is outstanding: the dial retains its beautiful black mirror gloss and original luminous material, while the untouched case delivers the overwhelming presence unique to an oversized chronograph.
