Manufactured in the 1960s, this Rolex Ref. 9829 “Precision” is a non-Oyster stainless steel model in excellent condition, featuring a rare gray sunburst dial.
One of the few Rolex references housed in a non-Oyster case, it is powered by the renowned hand-wound Cal. 1215, a movement widely used across many manual-wind Rolex models. The dial combines wedge-shaped hour markers with dolphin hands and retains the distinctive aesthetic of the 1950s. Its rare gray coloration presents a wonderful character unique to this era, clearly setting it apart from later models.
While there are minor signs of wear such as small surface marks, the case retains sharp edges overall, and the dial preserves its distinctive color with remarkable clarity—making the excellent state of preservation another key highlight of this piece.
