Circa 1940, this is a beautiful example of an Omega stainless steel 37.5mm cylinder chronograph powered by the legendary Cal. 33.3CHRO, featuring a rare black dial with bold oversized Arabic numerals.
Among 33.3 chronographs—many of which are known for their multicolor and multi-scale designs—this piece stands out for its striking simplicity. The black dial, printed with silver lettering, presents a clean yet highly impactful appearance. Unlike typical examples, the dial features only a minute track, allowing the Arabic numerals to be printed larger than usual. The bezel has been made thinner, resulting in a comparatively larger dial surface. Combined with the substantial presence unique to its over-37mm cylinder case, the watch exudes overwhelming wrist presence.
