Manufactured in the 1950s, this is an exceptionally rare 18K pink gold French-case model by Rolex, featuring a powder-white dial.
During a period when France imposed import restrictions, Rolex exported only the dials and movements to the French market, while the cases were locally sourced, manufactured, and sold within France. This piece is a rare example from that era.
The 18K pink gold case bears the eagle hallmark—indicating a French-made case—engraved on the case sides, the undersides of the lugs, and the caseback. Distinctive to French-case models, the design is notably delicate and elegant. The refined powder-white dial, highlighted by pink applied indexes paired with alpha hands, enhances its luxurious and sophisticated character.
It is powered by the Cal. 1210, a hand-wound movement widely used in many Rolex manual-wind models of the period.
