An early 1940s production Rolex Oyster “Bubbleback,” this is a rare ladies’ model in 18k rose gold with a beautiful salmon dial, preserved in excellent condition.
Among the already scarce ladies’ Bubblebacks, this piece stands out with its particularly unusual and distinctive 18k rose gold Oyster case. The salmon-colored dial features applied indices paired with baton hands, creating an elegant and refined aesthetic. It is further distinguished by the double-signed dial of the historic Venezuelan jeweler Serpico y Laino, adding to both its rarity and collectibility.
Not only is the watch exceptionally rare, but its state of preservation is remarkable, retaining the original character and charm that define the Bubbleback. As such, it is also of significant value as a reference piece.
It is powered by the rare ladies’ automatic movement Cal. 420, a noteworthy mechanism seldom seen in other brands of the same era.
