An early 1960s Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King featuring a black gilt dial and the rare gold index design.

This is an early Ref. 5500 that retains design elements from the 1950s, including a black gilt dial paired with alpha hands. Among black dial variants—where silver indexes are far more common—the presence of gold indexes further enhances the rarity and desirability of this particular piece.
