Early 1950s production Omega Ref.2690 equipped with the Cal.420 movement, featuring a rare 33mm mid-size waterproof case and a tropical dial.
In this era, Omega typically produced waterproof models with 30mm calibers in cases around 35mm, making this 33mm mid-size waterproof case quite unusual. Despite its compact size, it retains the solid, substantial feel characteristic of waterproof cases. It also features thoughtful construction details rarely seen in 30mm caliber models, such as a dust cover for added protection.
The dial showcases a period-correct design with applied “bomb” indexes and dolphin hands, and its beautifully aged patina adds a rich vintage character. It is powered by Omega’s in-house manual-winding Cal.420 movement.
