Manufactured in the 1950s, this is a rare Zenith “Saurer” double-signed model equipped with the Cal.40 movement, featuring a stainless steel screw-back waterproof case and two-tone dial.
This is a valuable co-signed model made for Saurer, the Swiss industrial manufacturer known for producing trucks and engines. The two-tone dial, decorated with a blue-and-gold emblem, displays a level of originality that clearly sets it apart from typical double-signed models.
These watches were produced in a variety of specifications, including both non-waterproof and waterproof cases, as well as different movements. This particular example features a well-balanced 33mm screw-back waterproof case and is powered by the beautifully finished Cal.40, distinguished by its granular gilt finishing and finely beveled edges.
With its highly distinctive design and attractively aged patina, this watch possesses exceptional character and vintage charm.
