Manufactured in 1939, this Longines is powered by the Cal.15.26 movement and features a Staybrite 37mm oversized Calatrava-style case with an extremely rare Serbian Army-design silver dial. It is equipped with the large Cal.15.26 movement, which was also used in Czech military models.
The large Calatrava-style case, characteristic of watches housing oversized movements, has a substantial and robust construction despite being non-waterproof. The dial showcases a distinctive vintage aesthetic, with oversized 3, 9, and 12 numerals reminiscent of Serbian Army models, while the remaining indexes are arranged in a smaller format, creating a uniquely balanced and highly attractive design.
Although several examples of this design are known with black dials, silver-dial versions rarely appear on the market, and their rarity is believed to surpass even that of the black-dial models. An archive extract is included.
